The Engineering Maintenance Section is mainly responsible for campus building projects, maintenance and renovation of existing facilities and buildings, such as architecture, civil engineering, water, mechanical and electrical systems.

For new campus building projects, the division is responsible for preliminary planning, budgeting, outsourcing, tender inviting, supervision, inspection, and accrediting projects. For renovation and maintenance jobs, the division initiates projects and helps campus academic departments to identify issues and problems and conducts necessary steps for jobs to be done.

The section is also responsible for the renovation and maintenance of plumbing, electrician, mechanical works, air-conditioning systems, elevators, fire hydrants, boilers, electricity generators and quality control of engineering projects. Public safety inspections of campus buildings and improvement projects on building a barrier-free campus are also implemented by the section.
