Brief History of the Center

Center of Education and Rehabilitation for the Visually Impaired was established in 1966. The main purposes of the center were to provide more opportunities for education to visually impaired students and help them grow either physically or mentally. Therefore, the center is designed to educate itinerant teachers who will serve the visually impaired students.

Service Provide

  1. Providing pre-service & in-service teacher training for the visually impaired.
  2. Providing consultant phone service.
  3. Lending notebook computer and scanner to college students with low vision.
  4. Publishing books and journals pertaining to education for the visually impaired.
  5. Publishing maps for the blind.
